Twitches Too (Double Charmed Edition)

Not as good as the first.
Most sequels are never as good as their predecessor, and to me this one was ok. It's a great movie to watch with young ones.

ok see below
the dvd was not in very good shape you have to rerun the dvd back to start from the center of the movie when you want to watch it

twitches 2
I bought it to complete the set and I loved it! It's very up-to-date and has a great plot...

Operation Condor / Operation Condor 2: The Armour Of The Gods

Get this movie in Cantonese with subtitles!
I love this movie, but I have to say that if you are going to get it, make sure you get a copy that is in cantonese. The english version made for america has a random nude scene inserted, and it cuts two of the funniest scenes in the movie. It is well worth reading the subtitles to see those two scenes.

The sequel better than the first?
This double DVD package is probably only for ardent Jackie Chan fans. First off Operation Condor is actually the sequel to The Armour of God no matter what the cover tells you. Next Operation Condor to me is the more entertaining movie from start to finish, with Jackie Chan's usual mix of great stunts, balletic fight scenes, and slapstick humor. The Armour of God has that as well just not enough of it. But what the Armour of God does have that all Jackie Chan fans must see (if they haven't already viewed dozens of times) is the final fight scene between Jackie and (spoiler alert) what I can only assume is a Sister Sledge tribute band in high heels and corsets. Yes I know that it his stunt team doing the actual dangerous fighting and stunts and that the actual women were probably only in the close shots. That makes it even funnier to me knowing that possibly Mars, Ken Lo, or Rocky Li were dressed in a bustier, stockings and heels while fighting and falling is amazing.

Two great Jackie Chan flicks for cheap!
Both movies are great. The first one funnier than the second but knowing me, I can't say no to any Jackie Chan films.
This is worth the purchase if you ask me.
Lots of action, comedy and much more. Gotta love it! :)

Evita / Frida

WARNING! "EVITA" IS STILL NOT IN ANAMORPHIC
This edition includes the two movies on two separate discs and "Evita" is still the exact same disc everyone has been overstocked with and can buy 50 copies for $10 each at Virgin. I bought this edition just assuming "Evita" would finally be formatted and watchable on a 16 by 9 tv and I don't know if I'm entitled to a refund or not so right now I'm out $18 and this distributor needs to stop being so lazy repackaging DVDs printed 10 years ago and not even watchable on a modern tv especially considering the quality of the film. So "The Wiz," "Titanic" and soon "Mrs. Doubtfire" are finally in anamorphic but this movie's still dragging behind with cinemascope-within-4:3 output that looks terrible on wide panels yet the movie is apparently good enough that it was one of the first to be released on DVD 10 years ago. I don't care about bonus features just somebody please release this movie formatted. Having said all this, it's a magnificent film. I have not seen "Frida."

Salma + Madonna, brilliant combination
Frida is a great movie; Salma was great. It's a rare but authentic story of a brilliant Mexican artist. The director did a brilliant job.

I found out this combination when I was looking for a cheap copy of Evita. Yes, many people criticize the casting of Madonna for the movie. However, I think she is a far superior fit than Elaine Paige, because she has this "been there done that" trait that was made for playing Evita.

EVITA
I was satisfied with this purchase. The disc was actually in better shape than described. The jewel case was not in great shape, but that was as described. The disc was, as stated, in better shape than described, and played as if it was brand new.

Ruthless People / Down and Out in Beverly Hills

Two of Bette's best
Ruthless People and Down and Out In Beverly Hills are both outrageously funny. I am delighted to have both these movies in my collection. They are the epitome of light-hearted entertainment. Five stars and two thumbs up to both.

Great Comey Classics!
Both of these movies are great comedy classics that you will enjoy and watch over and over again. If you like movies that make you laugh and appreciate the talented acting skills of Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Devito, then you should have these in your DVD library. I love these movies!
